At Templeton Legal Services, we believe clients should understand how fees are structured before work begins. Whether you are an individual, family, business owner, employer or organisation, our approach is designed to provide clarity, control and transparency.
We do not rely on the traditional billable-hours model where costs can quickly become difficult to predict. Instead, we aim to agree fees in advance wherever possible, so you know what work will be carried out, what the cost will be and what to expect at each stage.
Fixed fees where possible
Many of our services are offered on a fixed-fee basis.
This means that, once we have reviewed your matter and confirmed the scope of work, we will provide a clear fee for the agreed service. This allows you to plan ahead and make informed decisions without the uncertainty of open-ended hourly billing.
Our fixed fees are carefully assessed based on the nature of the matter, the level of work required, the complexity involved and our experience of handling similar cases.
If your matter becomes more complex or additional work is required, we will explain this to you before any further costs are incurred. Where possible, any additional work will also be quoted on a fixed-fee basis.
Estimated fees for complex matters
Some legal matters cannot be priced accurately at the outset because the work required may depend on third parties, changing circumstances, Home Office action, employee responses, tribunal directions or the complexity of the evidence involved.
Where a fixed fee is not appropriate, we will provide a clear estimate of the likely fees before work begins.
We will explain what the estimate covers, what may affect the overall cost and how fees will be managed. This helps you budget properly and understand the potential investment involved before making a decision.
Flexible payment arrangements
We understand that legal fees often arise at important or time-sensitive moments.
Where appropriate, we can discuss payment arrangements that allow fees to be paid in instalments. This may be particularly helpful for individuals, families, start-ups and businesses managing several priorities at the same time.
Any payment plan will be agreed in advance, so both the scope of work and the payment terms are clear from the beginning.
Long-term client relationships
We value clients who return to us for ongoing support.
Many of our clients instruct us across different matters, including private and business immigration, employment, compliance, settlement planning and wider legal strategy. Where clients continue to work with us, we may offer preferential or discounted rates as a recognition of that ongoing relationship.

We publish pricing information for certain immigration and employment services in accordance with the SRA price transparency requirements.
For services where published pricing is not available, including bespoke business immigration matters and other complex legal work, please contact us to arrange a consultation. Following the consultation, we will usually be able to provide a tailored fee quote based on your circumstances, the work required and the level of support you need.
